Dubai real estate made easier as streamlined transaction service launched

The Dubai Land Department has launched a new platform designed to cut through some of the complexities involved in real estate transactions.

Real estate transactions across Dubai are going to get a lot easier with the introduction of a cutting-edge new platform.

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has officially launched Oqood 2.0.

It is seen as a pioneering development designed to transform Dubai’s digital real estate ecosystem in a bid to make property registration and related transactions much more seamless for customers.

The platform takes a unified approach in order to tackle the sometimes clunky process, that can be mired in red tape bureaucracy.

Oqood will fuse together the key stages of the registration process, which includes fundamental requirements such as documents, submissions, reviews and approvals.

The end result will be a much more holistic and connected digital journey.

Dubai launches new property platform

At the heart of the new system is a pre-registration system that has been designed to help customers better understand and complete transaction requirements before they submit their transaction application.

Traditionally, this process can be complex, but experts from the real estate sector believe the new Qaood platform will be a ‘gamechanger’.

Instead of navigating different procedures, users can answer a series of questions through the system.

Mostafa Mohammed Refai, Senior Project Manager at the Digital Transformation Department, expressed his delight at the launch of new platform and stressed that the initiative is designed to change the way people interact with government services.

“The system has been created to give users more time, focus and confidence by allowing technology to handle repetitive processes and guide customers through the requirements of each transaction.”

Refai also highlighted how the initiative is not simply about automating existing procedures, but about reimagining the partnership between people and technology.

Undoubtedly, one of the key elements of Oqood 2.0 is the fact that it brings information from different processes together in a single view, giving customers and government teams greater visibility throughout the transaction.

This includes the journey from preparation and submission to review and final approval.

The launch of Oqood 2.0 forms is part of DLD’s broader efforts to develop a more seamless, connected and highly-efficient digital real estate ecosystem across Dubai.

Real estate experts are of the opinion that the new platform will provide a much more transparent, streamlined experience for customers whilst also helping government teams manage the transactions more efficiently.

The DLD has stressed that the continued development of the platform is a key priority for them, and they will also work closely with users and relevant government entities to further improve the digital journey for real estate transactions in Dubai.
